Doreen's goal as a professional educator and advocate is to assist students, families and schools by approaching any educational opportunity or concern with openness and honesty.  It is vital to provide advocacy to reach mutual understanding and positive outcomes that will lead to academic success.  As a successful educator, Doreen has been active in eliminating social and academic barriers so students can access education based on their individual needs.  Because of Doreen's teaching and administration experience, she is able to guide  schools and families to an outcome that considers resources and challenges as an opportunity for creativity and student growth.  This continues to be the primary goal her advocacy.
